Your hands
You shape it
Your instructor helps you centre a ball of clay on the wheel, then your hands open it and pull it up into a cup, a bowl or a vase. Rather work by hand? Shape a plate or a dish at the table.
Session one: you make two pieces.

Session one: you make two pieces.

Our hands
Your pieces rest on our shelves until they’re dry, then go into the kiln for a first firing. They come out white, hard and ready for colour.
Between your two visits.

Your hands
Back at the table with brushes and pots of colour. Flowers, stripes, names, a few splashes: whatever you paint is what you’ll take home.
Session two, 2–3 days later.

Our hands
A coat of glaze goes over your painting and the piece goes back into the kiln. The colours deepen and the surface turns glossy.
After your painting session.

Yours to keep
Your two pieces wait for you in a paper bag with our logo: a cup and a plate, a bowl, a vase, whatever you chose. Made by your hands, in Tangier.
Ready a couple of days after you paint.
Two steps are yours, two are ours. You shape and paint; we dry, glaze and fire.
180 MAD per person, both sessions and your two pieces.

You make two pieces, come back a few days later to paint them, and take them home once we’ve glazed and fired them.

Paint a ready-made ceramic piece your way, then collect it once it’s fired. Good when you’re short on time.

Birthdays, friends, families and monthly groups come to make something together, each with a piece to take home.

School classes come to shape clay by hand, like this pupil’s carved tile. Families often bring their children too.
Finished pieces our guests shaped, painted and took home.

What guests write after their visit.
Read the reviews on GoogleMy family of five were soon lost in a world of creation, crafting and painting. Such a great experience for everyone with a moment of our trip to come home with.
They explained everything well and made it easy, even as a beginner. It was so nice to create something with your own hands.
The owner speaks excellent English, which made communication super easy… the price-performance ratio is unbelievably good.
Saloua made us feel so welcome with her warmth, kindness, and incredible attention to detail.
I bring my kids here at least once every two weeks to spend time and learn how to create pottery through classes.

Salwa (Saloua to many guests) runs The Pottery House. Guests describe her as kind, patient and always smiling, and write that she guided them through every step.
Guests thank Omar too, for his patience and his years of experience in pottery.
Omar, with his 38 years of experience in pottery, is simply amazing… Watching him work and learning from him is a true privilege.
Our shelves hold hand-painted ceramics, many of them made in the studio.
Cups and mugs, tea sets, salad bowls, cake platters and harira bowls.
Come and browse, every day 10:00–20:00.

Colours often look paler before the piece is glazed and fired. If you want a colour to stay strong, ask us how many coats to give it.
No. The clay has to dry and be fired before it can be painted, then glazed and fired again. That’s why there are two visits and a pickup.
